Seth and I absolutely love traveling. It is one of the many things that we love doing together. This summer we will be flying the longest flight thus far in our traveling career and it is always nice to think ahead and be prepared! So, I have made a list of must have travel items for y’all. Whether you fly or not, these items are also great for car rides! This post contains affiliate links.
Kindle Paperwhite– I just got my paperwhite in December, and it is a must have! I don’t know what I would do without it. It is not only great for travel, but also reading at night. I love to read at night, and the kindle makes it so easy to read in bed without a light on or a heavy book to lug around. It is also wonderful for outside because you don’t have that pesky glare on the screen from the sun. I just absolutely love it! It saves so much room in your carry on because you do not have the bulk of several books in your bag! I am an avid reader and I do not go many places without it!
Portable charger– I take this with me everywhere. I charge it up at home and if my phone or kindle starts to die, I will plug it up and it’s good to go! The charge lasts so long and it’s lightweight.
Noise canceling headphones– I got Seth the QC35 Bose noise canceling headphones for Christmas a year ago and they are AWESOME. I really splurged on them because he travels a lot for work, so I knew he would use them and we would get our money’s worth! Well I got to where I would steal his because I loved them so much lol! I decided I would pick myself out a pair that where still nice, but nicer on the wallet. You really don’t know how loud an airplane is until you have used a pair of noise canceling headphones on a plane. It makes listening to music, podcasts, or watching a movie so much more enjoyable!
Travel pillow– I seriously go full comfort on airplanes. No shame in my game. I have to have a neck pillow to fully relax and enjoy Netflix or to read my book. There’s all different kinds of travel pillows but I always want one that’s soft near my face. They also have “>some that bend so you can get it in a comfy position if you want to prop your head up. I have never seen them before and thought they were neat!
TSA approved snacks- I saw this tip from one of my favorite instagrammers/bloggers Haley! (@haleywynndesigns and www.haleywynndesigns.com) I always thought food or snacks past security at the airport was a BIG no no, but that’s not true! There’s a list on their website of TSA approved snacks. To save money and time, you can pack a cooler or put them in your carry on! Some snacks I plan on packing are veggies, dried fruit, turkey, bread, cheese, packets of mustard! Click here to see a list of approved items!👍🏼
Comfy clothes- Especially for long flights, I love loose, comfy clothes. This is the perfect top for flying to a tropical location! Plus it’s so soft. These shorts are also the perfect addition to your travel ensemble. Or you could do a lightweight legging like these! I have them in gray and they’re a dupe this lululemon pair!
Coloring books and colored pencils– I may be an adult, but I love to color. My mom and I colored all the time when I was younger and that love carried over to my adulthood! It is also a big stress reliever for me and it is just something I enjoy doing at the end of the day. This is my absolute favorite coloring book and these colored pencils are the newest thing, well atleast to me! They are twistable, so you don’t have to worry about bringing a sharpener with you! And no these are not twistable crayons, they are actually twistable colored pencils! So handy for traveling whether you are an adult or kid!
I hope you found these useful! I honestly use all these items when I travel and they come in so handy!
