OUR DREAM HONEYMOON

My husband and I got married December 3, 2016. It was the best day ever!! I was not nervous or anxious AT ALL. Everything went smoothly. I was so happy and nothing was going to ruin the day for us. It was Christmasy, beautiful, full of love, laughter, and God. Exactly as I had imagined.

So after our wonderful wedding, one week later we headed out for our honeymoon. Elated, excited, delighted, overjoyed, on cloud nine. Those are just a few of the words I would use to describe how I felt the morning we left for the Bahamas. We spent one week at the gorgeous Sandals Royal Bahamian resort. Guys. It was a dream.

We were greeted by our butler who took us to our room and we immediately went straight for a dip in our private swim up pool! (How cute is my husband!?) Btw you can find his cute swim trunks here!

Our resort was so easy to navigate and get around. It was small and intimate and you could walk everywhere. We loved being able to just roam around and explore without having to take a bus or some type of transportation.

The beach was gorgeous and the water was the most exquisite shade of turquoise I have ever seen in my life!

We adored all the restaurants at the resort. One major plus of staying at an all inclusive resort is -almost- everything is included in the price! So when you go to dinner, you don’t pay a thing. The food, y’all, is soooo good. It was our favorite part! We are such foodies. There was food for the pickiest person and the fanciest person! And you could also order room service which we, of course, took advantage of!

The resort offers excursions and activities you can participate in during your stay! We ended up swimming with the dolphins (😍😍😍), snorkeling in the crystal clear water, and getting a couples massage at the spa at the resort. We loved the massages. It was very intimate and relaxing. That’s where my husband fell in love with massages and he has never looked back. You can scuba or snorkel for free through the resort! I had never snorkeled before, but I absolutely adored it! We saw so many tropical fish and coral! It was absolutely gorgeous. Swimming with the dolphins required us to take a bus and boat to a different location for that. It was so fun!

We also hung out by the pool and just relaxed which was the whole point of our honeymoon! The pools were so relaxing and we lounged under the big umbrella reading or, if you’re seth, snoozing.

For two of the days, we went to our resort’s private island. It’s a short boat ride away and offers a little bit of seclusion from the rest of the world. It. Was. Gorgeous. It felt like a remote island and that’s what we loved about it. It was so quite with tons of trees and just the sound of the ocean lapping up against the shore. This was also one of our favorite parts.

Honestly, I don’t think there is a single thing we could complain about. Everyone who worked there was SO nice. The food was amazing. The beaches were gorgeous and clean. The resort was clean. And it was just the best experience we could imagine. We always felt safe and taken care of. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for our honeymoon! If you are looking for a honeymoon destination, I highly recommend Sandals Royal Bahamian!

XOXO, Natalie Ann
